Lunch

ROLE
UX design, UI Design, Research, Branding
Lunch is a smart B2B SaaS platform built for restaurants, giving owners, purchasing managers, and shift managers tailored dashboards that simplify daily operations, improve communication, and boost efficiency.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Lunch started as a student project to explore how restaurants handle daily chaos.
It quickly grew into a full system with three role-based dashboards, designed to simplify workflows and real business needs.
Problem discovery
Disconnected Roles, Lost Efficiency
Research showed poor sync between restaurant roles, weak communication, and no central system to manage daily work. The result: delays, mistakes, and lost growth.
Exploration
The three players behind a restaurant’s success
We discovered that owners, purchasing managers, and shift managers hold the keys. Each role drives a different part of the business, and together they can decide if the restaurant thrives or struggles.
Solution
One platform, three dashboards
Our goal with Lunch was to create a system that truly supports owners, purchasing managers, and shift managers. A tool that boosts restaurant revenue while keeping the user journey simple, clear, and effortless
Analyzing Market & Competition
Inspired by the best, built for what’s missing
We studied well-known tools like Monday and Notion for user experience inspiration, and industry platforms like Marketman, Restorun, and Restigo for domain needs. We mapped where they fall short and identified market gaps Lunch can capture and retain.
Brainstorming
No bad idea method for creative flow
We focused on what users need, separating problems from challenges to map clear ideas. We threw many concepts into the air, filtered the noise, and built a feature map that guided us toward solutions with real impact.
We focused on what users need, separating the challenges from the solutions, to create features that make a difference.
Feature Prioritization
Clarity through MoSCoW
To keep the system simple and impactful, we used the MoSCoW method to separate must-haves from nice-to-haves. This helped us focus on the features that solved the biggest pain points while leaving room for future growth.
Wireframing
It all starts with a simple pencil
We started with quick pencil sketches to explore flows and layouts. These rough drafts evolved into mid-fidelity wireframes that clarified navigation, hierarchy, and the core experience of each dashboard.
Dashboard Design
Designing every detail with purpose
Every button, card, and flow was carefully considered to guide users toward maximum value with minimal effort. We drew inspiration from leading complex systems in the industry and built each dashboard flow with patience, precision, and clear intent.
IN CONCLUSION
The principle that guided my design for users also guided my own process: keep the flow unbroken. To avoid breaking my momentum, I chose to work with an existing design system. Through it I studied the most essential components, understanding why they are built the way they are and how to apply them correctly in line with industry practice. Building on this foundation, I created Lunch as a solution that feels unique and original rather than generic.
