ROLE
Product Designer
EdSpire is a real-time EdTech platform that helps teachers assess and nurture students’ Power Skills like resilience, flexibility, and collaboration through continuous evaluation, actionable insights, and clear dashboards.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
EdSpire bridges the gap between academic grades and real-world growth, helping teachers measure what truly matters - students’ Power Skills - through continuous evaluation, meaningful feedback, and actionable insights.
Background & Challenge
Schools Measure Grades, Not Growth
Most schools know how to track test scores, but not human growth. Teachers want to help students build resilience, teamwork, and flexibility, yet have no consistent way to measure it. EdSpire was born to change that, giving educators a simple way to see, understand, and strengthen Power Skills in real time.
Research & Key Insights
Asking Teachers, Learning from the Field
Pilot programs with schools revealed a clear pattern. Evaluations took too long, results arrived weeks later, and teachers struggled to act on them. These lessons shaped EdSpire’s core idea - giving teachers timely, actionable insights they can use right away.
Solution Overview
A Simple Way to See and Support Student Growth
EdSpire gives teachers one simple place to assess and understand students’ Power Skills. It combines real-time evaluations, unified data, and clear dashboards that turn feedback into growth. Since not all teachers are comfortable with technology, the platform was designed to feel easy and intuitive from the start.
Core Features
A Friendly Start to Self-Assessment for Students
Students start with a friendly chat that maps Power Skills through simple questions. Choosing an avatar sets the tone and makes it feel personal, building trust. By taking part in their own evaluation, students become active partners in their growth, not just subjects of assessment.
Role-Based Dashboards for Teachers
EdSpire’s dashboards are built around how teachers actually work. Homeroom teachers see full class insights and individual profiles, while subject teachers access summarized views without personal data. The system stays visual, simple, and built for educators of all tech levels.
Efficient & Smart Evaluation Process
Creating a new evaluation takes just a few clicks: select students, choose Power Skills, assign teachers, and send. Each questionnaire is short and clear, designed to fit a teacher’s busy day. Results update instantly across dashboards, turning every submission into real-time insight.
Actionable Insights for Every Skill
Teachers can view each Power Skill as a set of clear sub-skills, with ready-to-use recommendations. It highlights who’s on track and who needs support, turning data into daily action.
Schoolwide View for Principals
Principals and coordinators can see Power Skills progress across classes, grades, or groups. Trends and outliers appear instantly, helping schools spot gaps and guide improvement at scale, without exposing individual student data.
Design Principles
Our Approach to Designing EdSpire
EdSpire was built around four ideas:
Empathy, to make every interaction feel human.
Simplicity, focus on student growth, not tools.
Feedback, turning data into instant action.
Collaboration, helping teachers and students grow together to be future-ready.

Outcomes & Impact
Insight and Screens Into Change
Based on measured data from pilot programs, schools using EdSpire showed up to a 20% increase in student resilience.
Teachers reported that instant feedback helped them act faster, feel more in control, and build stronger connections with their students.
IN CONCLUSION
EdSpire is still growing, we’re refining what exists, adding new ideas, and reaching more schools every day. Designing a product built on empathy and data for education has been a deeply meaningful experience for me. I’m proud to be part of a small team working to make education simpler and more efficient for the people shaping the next generation.
